The 2026 Sullivan Awards: Celebrating Community, Scholarship and Service
The Duke Center for Community Engaged Scholarship and Duke Community Affairs recently honored individuals with the 2026 Sullivan Awards. The awards are given to those whose lives reflect extraordinary service, integrity and a commitment to uplifting others. Established by the New York Southern Society, the award is named for Algernon Sydney Sullivan, a Southerner who became a prominent lawyer, businessman and philanthropist in New York in the late 19th century.
