John Clements
Associate Vice President for Campus and Business Services
As Associate Vice President for Campus and Business Services for Duke University, John Clements leads various service operations, including campus mail services, parking and transportation, Duke University Stores, the Duke Faculty Club, auxiliaries finance, and the university’s trademarks and licensing program. Clements’ responsibilities also include the consolidation of the University’s annual operating and capital budgets and five-year plan for review and approval by the Board of Trustees, the allocation of space and general and administrative expenses across the University and Health System enterprise, financial oversight for the Central Administration Management Center (CAMC), as well as business support services for several units within the CAMC, including Climate and Sustainability, Research & Innovation, and the President's Office.
Clements has 30 years of experience in higher education finance, and holds a bachelor of science in business administration from Appalachian State University and a master of arts from Duke University.
